Antique French Bird Gilt Bronze Ormolu Jewelry Stand Watch Ring Earrings (#5360):

Antique Victorian Napoleon III gilt bronze ormolu figural jewellery stand / jewelry holder. Holder for pocket watch, rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and other trinkets. Made in France, 19th century.
Measurements: Approximately 8 1/2 inches high. Base bottom is 3 1/4 inches and 4 1/4 inches at widest part.
Description: Made of richly gilded bronze. Round base with dish to hold trinkets and overlapping scalloped openwork border. In the center of the dish is a long bar supporting a further 4 horizontal bars for suspending a variety of jewellry. A pair of hooks on one of the bars facilitate this. The very top bar forms a perch for a bird, possibly a cockatoo with long tail and partially spreak wings. Beautiful detail to individual feathers, modelling and form of the bird.
Marks: no marks were found.
Condition: good with minor wear commensurate with age.
