Youare looking at a French Gilt Bronze Mantel Clock. This clock was packed away for manyyears. I pulled it out, but I wasn’table to find the pendulum. I do have apendulum that fit on it. I wound theclock, it ran and chimed, half-hour and on the hour. The clock runs fast, but the pendulum doeshave fast/slow adjustment. The clock ismissing the back door. The minute arm isnot original. Other than that, the clockis in great condition. Please look atthe photos for reference and ask questions before offerding. The back of the movement are some markings,F-Y 476, and on the bottom, 55. I don’tknow if those are the year or serial number.I have seen similar clocks sell for over $1500, in uncertain workingcondition, but this one definitely works.The clock is quite heavy, almost 8 pounds. From the bottom of the clock to the top of ahelmet, 13 inches tall, 7 inches wide, 4 ¾ inches deep. It’s truly an antique piece, not a reproduction.
