This is an absolutely exquisite French antique charm. The outside of the charm is at least .800 grade silver, and inside are leaf papers in gold edging. The front and back of the charm have intricate floral detailing with an incredible design. The very back is stamped with what I believe is the makers mark. Some of the pages inside have some writing - see the photos. The first page has some squiggles, and there is a page with some French ladies\' names, and one page with a few little hearts at the corner. There are additional pages with little squiggles or marks throughout but I photographed the most heavily marked/interesting pages.

The front is loaded with a spring. When the pencil is not in place, the front piece of silver will stay up by itself, enabling ease of writing. To close the notepad, the pencil must be slid back in place at the side between the two holder spaces. Twist the top of the pencil to display the lead.

In excellent condition, especially considering its age. Note few of the pages have some ancient writing on them. The inside of the top cover has some signs of age and tarnish. Otherwise it is in wonderful condition, with even much of the gold leafing along the edge of the pages intact and intact cover page.
