This antique French stand / pedestal dates back to Napoleon III Victorian era and was used to display either clocks or religious items under a fragile glass dome, long disappeared...
Nicely carved and shaped, it is in very good vintage condition with minor wear and scratches, see pictures, and will be a unique way to enhance or display collection items, statues...etc, view last picture.

The pedestal stands on its 4 original feet and is marked below \"Vierge\", so it was probably intended to display a Holy Virgin\'s statue
