This eye catching clock is made in France around1830-1840.
Very ornate clock is surmounted by bronze figurine ofa noble man representing a scientist.
On the top you see world maps and at the side it isflanked by a globe on feet
The front of the base is with fine relief and floralornaments showing a shield in front with science attributes.
Silvered engraved dial with Roman numerals is with blackpointers.
Movement with silk suspension is in working condition chimingat the 1/1 and 1/2 hours on a silvered bronze bell.
Key, bell and pendulum included.
