~A stunning textile is French and I would date from the early to mid 1800\'s, potentially earlier! ~*~ on a heavy ribbed linen and cotton mix fabric. ~ . It\'s a painted or printed linen, perhaps a combination of printing and painting ! It has faded to perfection with a beautiful Madonna and child. Fabulous border! The tones are remarkably beautiful!
