Antique French pure linen fil sheet with outstanding embroidery and LJ monogram, 96\" wide, 127\" long.
Fil is the finest linen thread with the highest thread count,used only for luxury dowry linen.
It\'s extremely soft and fine to sleep under, there is no comparison to any of the other sheeting fabrics, cotton, percal or classic linen.
The embroidery of white work and raised satin stitch butterflies and floral sprays runs across the width of the sheet and down the return for 35\".
The white work embroidered LJ monogram measures about 7\" x 8\".
The top hem is 4\" deep and is closed with a half inch deep row of intricate drawn thread work which also runs up the return.
The bottom hem is hand stitched.
Matching pure linen fil pillow case 25 inches square, the 2½\" hem is closed with intricate ladder work matching that of the sheet.
Back opening has 4 matching mother of pearl buttons and hand sewn button holes.
Washed, sun-dried and ironed in excellent condition, unused.
A couple of small faint rust spots near bottom hem, untreated.
