This antique Gar cemetery Flag holder was used on graves of Civil War soldiers of the Grand Army of the Republic -- the North or the Union. This cast iron Flag holder was from Post 10 GAR with raised letters and the shape of a star on a rod that was implanted on the grave. There is still a piece of wood from the Flag that would have been inserted in back.This Civil War cemetery Flag holder is in excellent antique condition with age appropriate rust. Please use your zoom for a good look.The star is 7\" X 5 3/4\".
