Late 18th/early 19th century English country hanging salt or wall box, made of oak. This is a wonderful object for those decorating in the eighteenth or early nineteenth century “English or Americana High Country Style.” In very good condition with great patina.

Very old or possibly first finish.

Old Floral Print Wallpaper Lining.

Original hinges (two screws replaced).

Minor imperfections due to age and use.

The shape of the crest is original and absolutely has not been reshaped like so many were.

Very good proportions.
