0743 Bilston Enamel Salt

Description

A mid 18th century Bilston South Staffordshire enamel open salt. It has a pink ground and has been painted with flowers and has raised enamel patterns including some to the underside of the base. It stands on three feet and the rim is left clear. No makers marks as expected.

Condition

Some crazing in the enamel mostly visible to the white sections. Some loss of enamel inside the rim. Loss of enamel to two feet with damage to the other.Approx Dimensions
