GEORGIAN / VICTORIAN GOLD PASTE RINGC 1830/1840
This was obviously a much loved and treasured ring as it has undertaken several repairs/replacements in it\'s time.
I will attempt to describe this to the best of my abilities.
The central cluster of paste stones are set in silver with a closed back sunburst setting in silver gilt (probably foil backed)
The shoulders are also set in silver.
The band is a later addition and this extends underneath the original silver shoulders in a thin layer and is really well done for a replacement band(9ct was not introduced until 1854 so must be a late Victorian replacement)
The shank is marked 9ct and makers mark M&B
The two larger pastes on the shoulders are also a later replacements
SIZE UK M US 6 1/4
Condition - most of the pastes (except replacements) have nibbles and surface scratches and centre stone has a yellow tint
As with any antique/vintage item it may show signs of wear commensurate with age and may need a clean
