SPECTACULAR & RARE~~~Antique German Baroque DANZIGER SCHAPP Cabinet

EXQUISITELY Carved Gothic Putti Cherubs~~~c. 1860s
~~THIS IS A MUST SEE! Rarely will you find one of these cabinets on ~~~they would be more likely to be offered for sale at exclusive venues such as Sotheby\'s or Christie\'s~~~highly sought after and treasured by collectors and enthusiasts alike!FANTASTIC example of an antique Danziger Schapp cabinet. This piece originated in the City of Danzig, Germany (present day Gdansk, Poland) during the German Baroque period (1860s)~~~an elegant combination of Baroque and Gothic style that was so popular in mid-late 19th century Europe. Superbly carved large cherub figural and stepped molding and oversailing cornice crown! Raised and stepped door panel has large center cartouche surrounded by female figures and flanked by cherub or putti acanthus supports. Sturdy bun feet. Carved roses and lion\'s head adorn the base. Original three (3) interior shelves are removable or adjustable. Raised panel sides with hand planed back.

This is truly a RARE, HIGH QUALITY example of the detailed craftsmanship of the era and would make a wonderful family heirloom for today and for future generations.
