Antique German Beer Stein Playing Cards R.Hanke #1427 Etched c.1900
Description:
This beautiful stein was produced by Reinhold Hanke over 100 years ago. The exceptionally crafted etched technique decoration is dedicated to the playing cards. This is a so-called \"French\" playing cards where suits are diamonds, hearts, clubs and spades - most common in the US. There were also German suits - bells, hearts, leaves and acorns.
The stein is marked at the bottom with \"Germany\" and number \"1427\". This is Reinhold Hanke model number - the firm of Reinhold Hanke is a famous Westerwald firm from Hohr, Germany.
The lid is pewter - very massive and ornate. The stein is in excellent condition - there is some minimal age-related wear but no damge or repairs whatsoever. The lid is sitting tight.
The stein is 7.5\" tall, 0.5L capacity.
