This listing is for a beautiful genuine antique Germany Max Handwerck bisque head doll. She is marked on the back of her head 283/21 along with Max Handwerck Germany 3/10. She has fixed brown eyes, open mouth with four teeth. She retains her original wig. Her body is composition with wooden forearms. She is jointed at shoulders, elbows, hand, hips and knees. She is wearing an antique dress (not sure is it is original) slip, bloomers, socks (two different colors) and kid leather shoes. She is also wearing a bonnet and an overcoat which is extremely long on her and I am not sure if this is original as well.
I have checked her head with a strong light and there are no cracks. There is some chipping around the top wig area so please see photos. Most of this is to the patina of the doll, some is to the bisque itself.
The composition body is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. Her legs look fine as well. There is some splitting to the wood forearms, but they are not loose at all. All of her fingers are present on her left hand but two of her fingers have been replaced with some kind of material on her right hand.
