Antique German Paper Punch Motto Sampler GoldVelvet Silk JesusThis is guaranteed to be original and authentic Victorian era mid-late1800\'s German mixed media paper punch motto sampler in original undisturbedcondition. Most of the embroidery were made with burgundy color velvet treadand frame work around the letters are gold treads. Some of the embroidery weredone with thinner thread but each letter were secured to paper with goldthread. There is raised cut out in ivory color silk Jesus at the center. It isdecorated with dry flowers and ferns. Motto reads \" Hold tightlyon to one thing in this life, even though the weather turns stormy, your Savioris with you\"The sampler is in original Victorian era wood and gesso frame, back waspapered, it is original. Motto measures 12 x 16\", frame measures 15 x19\". It is in excellent condition without any major damage. I see bit ofdark discoloration at bottom corner when I look closely to examine it. I don\'tsee any missing threads. The frame also look great without any damage.
