This Listing is for a Great Antique Victorian German Paper Punch Embroidery / Sampler / Motto with a Cupid / Putti / Angel done with different gold / silver / metallic thread and very colorful Chenille.Great Colors and theme.Putti seems to be of celluloid or like but I am not sure. A close-up image suggests some kind of fabric with warps and wefts.Replaced in a modern gold tone aluminum frame under glass as shown, ready to display. In excellent antique displayable condition with minor loss and few tears to paper ground as shown, none really noticeable or visible.Right pane of punch papers shows under mat about 1/8 inches as shown ( interior of mat was cut 1/8\" too much) . This is not really critical. It could be left alone and or re-matted).The motto was taken out of its original frame which was in poor shape , with aged mat replaced with the one shown ,and placed in the aluminum frame as shown.Visible image size of 10 3/4 inches by 13 1/8 inches and frame size of 15 1/4 inches by 18 1/4 inches by 1 inches depth. Has Hardware and wire for hanging.Very fine and beautiful example, very Decorative .Please pardon translation resources but I think it means something in terms of: Hope your prayer to the lord we gives what your heart wishes.
