Measurements: Bob: 2 1/2\". Dial: 8 1/2\". Diameter overall: 12\". Movement less shield extension for hanging: 6 1/4\" high, 5 5/8\" deep, 4 1/2\" wide. Extends 8\" from wall when hung. Weights: Pinecone type, 6\" long, 1 5/8 lbs. each. Time and strike trains are back to back. Arbors retain traces of original silver paint.
This clock appears to be all original with the exception of the weights, bell and possibly the chains. The pendulum hanger and staple have been replaced. The brass pendulum bob and the pendulum rod are old and could well be original.
I have not disassembled this clock, so there may be something internal I am not aware of. Inspection shows some wear to the pinion wires and strike wheel pins but not excessive.
The side doors are missing but the attachment loops are still there.The bezel and glass are missing and the frame is warped from top to bottom about 1/4\" to 3/8\". It would be difficult to replace the glass and bezel due to the warp and the need for convex glass. I was going to remove the old hinge and patch and stain the holes in the frame.
Now the good news. This clock is running strongly, striking appropriately, and keeping good time. I have run the clock on my wall for the past two weeks. On a three-day time trial it lost 2 minutes. Some pendulum adjustment may improve on this.The movement needs to be disassembled, cleaned and lubricated to be at its best.With a little cosmetic work on the dial frame, replacement of the side doors, and a dusting and cleaning you will have an attractive and functional clock.Happy to answer any questions or take additional photos.
