Offered is this antique German paper mache Santa ornament in very good condition. Santa has a paper mache or composition painted face with carved wood boots and hands. His body is a two-tone cardboard ball with intricate gold Dresden trim. His pants and cap are soft flannel with the hat trimmed in wooly fleece. He has a rabbit fur beard with fringe hair and has sparse feather tree branch in his hand. He was a squeaker at one time but now the mechanism is rolling around in the ball. Wonderful early piece.
