About this VERY old 1930\'s/1940\'s Table Lamp with a antique \"hand made\"sailing SHIP located inside the bottle! Just think of the time spent working and building every step of the way from putting a pole, thread, sails, etc, through the top of this old bottle tocreate this VERY old SHIP inside this bottle!
It stands 9-1/2\" high , 6\" wide, 2-3/4 deep with a antique hand made and painted ship found inside the bottle, sitting on a ocean. The lamp mount itself has a red/black \"on/off\" switch dating in the late 1930\'s to early 40\'s.
What a rare piece! I made no attempt to clean this light!!!
About the bottle:
This glass bottle is a vintage refrigerator jar by Owens Illinois Glass Co. It is clear glass, eight sided with an embossed design front and back. Along each edge of the center diamond there is an arrow head shaped design. It has a metal cap. It stands 7\" high, 6\" wide and is 2 3/4\" deep. Bottom reads DES PAT 86017, circa 1930-44. This is an exceptionally nice old piece.
