Available for sale is a rare Grandfather Clock which stands a regal 8 foot 3 inches tall. It is 29\" wide and 20 1/2\" deep.
This Federal Empire Style piece was manufactured at the Dauler, Close, and Johns Furniture Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The manufacturer went out of business in 1930.
It has a 6 Tube, 2 Chime Movement. It is keeping time, but the Chimes need to be tuned.
This clock is believed to have been from Fairholme, the Newport, Rhode Island Estate of Fairman Rogers.
The cabinet has a crack in the back where a panel had loosened.
The front has 6 foot columns and glass side panels.
The clock must be seen to appreciate the grandeur of this piece.
