This is an antique Greiner papier-mâché doll. She measures appx. 15\" long. I cannot remove her clothes without ruining them and I can see down on the back of thehead and I cannot see a label. I can\'t see any of the papier-mâché on the front as her clothes are sewn tightly toher. The inside of her dress does have writing that you canbarely see in the close-up on the 10th picture. I cannot make it out but there is a round logo and dark writing that may be part of the lining or it could be amaker\'s mark, not sure. She has a cloth sawdust filled body that is jointed and leather arms with china hands. One of her fingers does have a small chip on it shown in the 8th picture, very small. Her face has wear as does her black hair and her eyes are painted and worn. The clothes appear to be original or at least of the same era and are frail and tattered in areas. She has a note attached to her that reads: \"Alice\" Came to Cape Cod after living in Warner N.H. with the Harriman family for 3 generations. Present owner Dorothy Bell 4th generation descendant. I discovered her in an early house on Cape Cod. The condition is as found but I assumeshe is worthy of restoration or she looks fine as she is.
