These included a number of \"Amerikaner\" design movements from 1912 to 1914 and again from 1918 to 1925; however these movements had superior features compared to those used by Freiburg for their own production. Included were adjustable deadbeat escapements, solid cut pinions, and solid back plates. These movements were assigned Braunau serial numbers as they were finished. They continued operation right through WWI and up to mid-1925 when their own production was stopped, but they continued assembly of clocks with movements supplied by Freiburg. This factory was taken over by Junghans in May 1930 together with all the other GB facilities in Freiburg, after that time they only assembled Junghans clocks up to about 1954.
The Braunau factory had its own unique set of serial numbers from \"1\" to about 922000 that were completely separate from the Freiburg numbers. This leads to \"many\" incorrectly dated Braunau clocks because only the Freiburg numbers have been widely published up to now and for what it\'s worth those are completely wrong after 1900. I have created comprehensive databases of more than 5,000 clocks including both Freiburg and Braunau that are accurate to the nearest half-year or closer, which are available on the NAWCC Message Board
