The dog was used as an advertising piece in the store or was sold with the name of the town on it as a souvenir. On the back of the dog it reads BEDFORD, PA., it has the Original Paint but looks like the white was touched up long ago and I think the red collar was added for the promo, well worn (see pictures) but still great in wonderful aged condition, the 2 screws are still painted over. This is the perfect piece for any collector of either Hubley, Cast Iron Dogs, Doorstops, Advertising Items or Art and Garden Statues. The dog measures 10 1/8\" High x 9 7/8\" Long x 4 3/4\" Wide and is very heavy, don\'t miss out on this rare find, you just don\'t find this kind of Hubley dog very often.
