ANTIQUE HAND MADE BEDSPREAD / COVERLET / TABLECLOTH – HAND CROCHETED measuring approximately 104 inches by 108 inches long – almost square.
Color is off-white – ecru.
Crocheted bed spread is circa 1900 – 1910’s, maybe earlier.
American made. Looks good when placed over a colorful piece of fabric underneath to show off the design.

Star pattern with raised “popcorn” stitching to the design. Each design is framed by square stitching – more elaborate than many spreads.
Curved open-work 1 inch border design on all four sides.
See pictures, but they really don’t show how beautiful this is!

Could be used on a Double, Queen, or even a King size bed, depending how much drape you want on the sides. Could also be used as a tablecloth, if you have a large dining table.

Condition is very good, even though the piece is almost a hundred years old.
Color is off white.

No tears, no rips, no missing parts. No stains.
The threads are pliable – not all dry and not falling apart. Probably heavy cotton.

Weighs about 9 pounds before packing. Can be easily handled to spread on a bed. (From my smoke-free, pet free home!) VERY UNUSUAL! VERY MUCH A ONE-OF-A-KIND PIECE. This is not an Oriental made import.IT IS A VERY PRETTY SPREAD AND LOOKS EVEN BETTER THAN THE PICTURES SHOW.
