These hat pin holdershave been in our family collection for over 50 years.My mothers collection reached over 1,000 hat pins, 300 holders, and 300 stick pins. They werevery well taken care of all these years, displayed in a glass cabinet my whole life. We have not cleaned this piece. We have decided to leave the cleaning to each new buyer.
