Antique Heinrich Handwerck Porcelain & Composite Doll, made in Germany ca.1895. Unique Dolly face, 28\" tall, bisque socket head, feathered eyebrows, glass sleepy eyes, open mouth w/ teeth, wigged head on a ball jointed wood & composition body. Marked:\"31/5\"and“6”with Early Handwerck Signature Symbol.

Excellent Condition. Fine, practically flawless quality bisque head with gentle coloring, skilled painting of features, good modeling of pretty dolly face. The body in superior original finish condition with the hands and feet in Excellent Condition;only one minor flake on right foot. MinorRubs To The Balls In The Joints, and SomePaint Flaking and Surface Cracks Around The Neck Edge and Extremities. Firmly strung—may have been restrung.
