Antique Collectors: I have a HEYWOOD BROTHERS WAKEFIELD Victorian child\'s wicker high chair.
This high chair is in EXCELLENT condition. I looked it all over and there is only One small spot where the wicker is missing. I had to really look to find it. The last photo shows that spot. The second to last photo shows the label. With a magnifying glass and flashlight I could make out the information on the label..it reads: HEYWOOD BROTHERS WAKEFIELD CO, CHICAGO, IL. USA. It had been varnished over so many times it was hard to read but it is there. 41\" tall and back of seat to front of tray is 21\".This chair belonged to one family through the many generations until we purchased it about 25 years ago. I used it for my antique doll collection. This chair is in such wonderful condition. The wicker is strong. The legs are tight. It is all original. During it\'s long life, someone had a metal tray made that fit on the tray leaving the tray in such clean condition. The foot rest is tight as are the arms and back. There is beautiful beading woven in with the wicker. I am sure you won\'t find another this beautiful in such wonderful original condition.
Heywood Co. was in business since the early 1800\'s under different names. They began making chairs in 1826. In 1897 Heywood Brothers WAKEFIELD was formed and that name was used through 1921. I can not pack this chair. However, if you purchase it, I will deliver it to our UPS store and they will pack it safely and deliver it to you. You can pay me for the chair through Paypal and I will give you their phone number and you can talk to them about cost for packing and shipping and pay them directly. I have used them before and always had good luck. You can always pick up the chair here at our home.I use Paypal only.
