This is one of the most sought-after German bisque baby dolls that was ever made. It is a 16\" Hilda Baby by J.D. Kestner in Germany made in the early 1900\'s. Circumference of the bisque head is 12\". She has blue sleep eyes, open mouth with two teeth and tongue, featured brows, original plaster pate (hole in center) and original blond mohair wig. She is marked J? made in Germany 13 245 JDK 1914 (copyright) Hilda ges gesch?\". She is on her original Kestner 5-pc. baby body which does have repainted arms and legs but they are well-matched and well-done. She has no chips, cracks or restoration of bisque but does have some faint scratches on her cheeks. Faint nose rub. She is very well dressed in old bonnet, old hand-embroidered dress, slip, diaper and hand knit booties. She is ready for your cabinet! I just saw one this size sell at 1495.00, so I am starting this very reasonably. Good luck offerding!
