Offered for sale is a charming old antique doll head. I am not sure of the composition of the head, but perhaps some type of clay or paper mache - I really don\'t know. It is not porcelain or bisque. You will find crazing, edge nicks to the sides of the shoulders, and she needs to be washed, but that I leave to you. Her hair was probably braided at one time, but now the two pig tails are pulled together and tied with a yellow ribbon. You will see remnants of straw inside the neck area. I find no markings as to maker. From the bottom of the neck to the top of the head it is approx. 4 1/2\". The opening neck areas is approx. 2 1/4 by 2 1/4\". There you have it. If you work on dolls, I think this would be a worthwhile project. Or, she is neat just as she sets.
