Up for sale is an antique fine earthenware hand painted cylinder shapedImperial LudwigWessler of Poppelsdore, Bonn, Germany. The mark dates the piece to from 1875 to 1900.It is 11 3/4\" tall with a base that is 3 1/2\" across. The rim and the base are scalloped with raised details that have been gilded. It is tan with pink at the rim and base and there is a lovely largespray of colorful flowers and leaves. There are no chips or cracks. There is a slight bow in the vase from the side (see photos). There is glaze crazing. There is ware to the gold at the rim edges. The sponged gold is intact. It has the red under glaze export mark for Imperial Wessel along with the impressed number 684 2 and the hand written numbers 4915 125. Insurance is included in the shipping fee.Thanks for looking.
