Antique Indian Wooden (Teak) Upright Chest; Approx 200 Years Old:

This is an upright chest. We purchased this from an antique dealer in Maryland many years ago. He told us that the chest was approx. 200 years old, made of teak and imported by him to the United States. I cannot vouch for the accuracy of any of that information, but based on research I have done on the web, it seems feasible.
The lower part of the cabinet has a drawer inside, and the upper section has a fold down door.This cabinet is beautiful. We bought it on a whim because we loved it, it does not fit in our home well.This chest is immenselyheavy. I have no idea what the actual weight is, but it takes at least two adults to move it and that is not with ease. This has to be local pick up only. I can\'t imagine what it would cost to ship it.
