This is an absolutely gorgeous clock! Manufactured in the 1870\'s. The cabinet was stripped, re-stained and lacquered. The wood grain is beautiful and the shine is magnificent! The decoration on the clock is gilded and the face is polished brass (not painted).The movement was disassembled and hand cleaned and polished. The bushings were checked for wear and the tension springs were replaced. The clock keeps excellent time. The gong announces the half hour and hour and is a very nice cathedral sound. It comes with winding key and pendulum. As with any old clock it might need time speed adjustment after shipping. The fast/slow speed setting is the wheel on the front of the clock.I pack all my clocks inside and out to ensure safe delivery, but cannot guarantee the carrier will do the same.
