Nice older Ingraham Oak Case Mantel Clock for your buying consideration here. Would make a great gift or keep for yourself!
This clock still has a piece of the paper label on the back of the case. Has No. 7 and 1885 on it. This Ingraham clock dates to the 1896 period.
Beautiful oak case with four wood columns and wood ends. The case appears to all be there, but you be the judge. Nice incising design under the columns. Then has a small window on the bottom front of the case that the pendulum can be seen thru. Has a gold and black colored reversed design on the glass tablet. Nice ornately detailed gold colored pendulum.
Nice flat glass over the face. The gold colored bezel is securely attached to the case. The face is made of metal and has a gold color to it. Then has raised black letters. The clock face shows some wear to the finish. The minutes hand hangs loose ass not the right one for the clock as not slotted as to where attaches to movement, so will need to be replaced. Looking thru my parts now for a better match.
The metal rear hatch is still securely attached to the case by the hinge. Part of the lock side where makes contact with a tack is missing. Some paint spackle on the top and sides of the clock that we did not attempt to remove.
The movement is an 8 day brass movement. The clock was recently serviced and cleaned aby Clock Doc. No markings on the back plate of the movement. This clock runs and strike consistently. The two wind springs feel sound when keyed. Check out the great gong strike on this clock! The clock will come with a wind key.
The clock is in running and striking condition. The strike unit strikes once on the half hour and the number of hours on the hour.
The clock stands 15.5\" tall, by 14-1/8\" across, by 5-13/16\" wide. The three wind springs feel sound when keyed. Will come with a winding key and the appropriate pendulum bob. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.
