$1500.00

An antiquebeautiful and unique mirror made in Italy. It was bought at an estate sale. The family said the person bought the mirror in Italy in the 1950\'s and had it shipped back to the US.
I\'m pretty sure the artaround the frame depicts Nero the Roman empire that was rumored to play the fiddle as Rome burned down. He was known for his wild sex parties, hence the woman on each side pulling up theirdresses. At the parties he had wild animals such as peacocksand was veryextravagant. In the rectangleabove and below the mirror have a fiddle, a torch, and a demon with split tongues. Nero is not very popular due to his cruel nature.
This mirror istruly one of a kind and stunning in the detail as well as a little dark in nature.
I can\'t figure out what theframe is made of but it is solid.
Measurement: a little over 28 1/2 inches long, 43 inches tall, 1 1/2 inches wide.
Condition: The mirror itself has silvering. There are scratchesand small dents to the paint and surface. There are parts where the paint has come off in flakes. There are areaswhere the the paint has been rubbed thin. Thebacking of the mirror has been replaced by cardboard. This is a very old mirror. Please ask for more pictures of damage before buying.
This islocal pickup. Or you can arrange for a shipping company to pickup and package the mirror.
