Description For sale we have this splendid, 19th Century superior quality black-lacquered papier mache tea caddy by Jennens & Bettridge.
Inlaid with Mother O\' Pearl and gilt enrichment delicatley painted with wild flowers and finished to a high lacquer standard.
Base stamped beneath \"JENNENS & BETTRIDGE - The firm was rewarded with a Royal Warrant in 1839 - the subsequent addition of \"Makers to the Queen\"
The lid encloses a pair of lidded compartments.
Dimensions 46cm wide 37cm deep 13cm high.
Date: 1850/60s Mid Victorian Antiques
Condition: Overall excellent, all mother of pearl inlay intact, there is only a small dink to the top (see pictures) and superficial cracking to some of the laquer consistent with age.

Orders for the UK will be shipped using Royal Mail 2nd Class Recorded Delivery or similar courier for bulky items. International orders will be shipped using an appropriate equivalent service.
I also try to use recycled packaging as much as possible to keep the post and packaging costs down, but always ensuring items reach you in the same condition as they leave me.
