AN EXTRAORDINARY JEWEL FROM A MAGNIFICENT BEL AIR ESTATE - SUPERB NATURAL ANTIQUE CARVED JADE RING IN AN OPEN WORK GILT FILIGREE ADJUSTABLE SETTING - AND DATING TO THE VICTORIAN - ART DECO PERIOD C1890-1930!

From the extraordinary Bel Air estate of 2 90 year old sisters comes an incredible collection of antique jewels with superb jade! Jade was their favorite gem and they had the very finest pieces of Jade. Please look at our other sales over the next month for more wonderful jewels from the sisters.

Here we have a spectacular ring. The natural jade is a gorgeous green and is carved in a floral open work motif. The antique jade is set in a filigree flower motif setting with an adjustable ring shank so the size can be adjusted. I believe the metal is silver gilt, although it may be brass or copper. I believe the ring dates to the Art Deco - Victorian period c1890-1930 although it could be earlier or later.

The ring is in superb condition. The top of the ring is 25 mm by 17 mm. It is currently a size 5.5 US (L UK) but it is adjustable! It is not hallmarked. The ring weighs 6.2 grams.
