This antique Japanese Satsuma ware signed hand painted porcelain bracelet dates from the Meiji period (1868-1912). It is made of Satsuma ware porcelain with an off white color crackled glaze and colorful hand painted decorations with gold decorations of Geisha women, dragons, flowers and bamboo. There are 10 circular panels which are fitted with a silver backing stamped and signed on the back with the impressed imperial Mon. They are linked together with silver chain links and have a clasp closure with safety chain attached. The bracelet measures 7 1/4 inches long and each panel is 1/2 an inch wide. They are in good condition, with only some minor wear. This is truly a rare and exceptional piece of wearable antique Japanese art!
