3.5 inches Asia Hina Doll seated is most likely a Musician who would have had a small table but does not come with table. These were usually made by artisans in cottage industry during the late Meiji or Tasho Period during early 1900s. Gofun head and hands over wood. Some hair is separated in places from the head. Would originally have had a little table but does not come with the table.Appears to have inset enamel eyes, silk hair, elongated throat dowel connecting the head to the body and allows the head movement and to be removed. Typical black dots at forehead, black stipple-painted detail of hair around the face, black possibly silk hair, unarticulated bodywith wooden arms, attached silk costumes. Painted features on gofun over wood on head, hands.Probably would sit by other ladies-in-waiting. Wearing red pants white kimono top.If this doll has any flaws, they would be listed in the condition report below.Height is3.5inches (9 cm) approximately in heightfeet to top of hair.
Condition:Head in very nice condition. Never had feet, even when originally created.Hair-do is slightly awry. Rubs on gofun. Please look at photographs carefully and as questions about condition if necessary.
