Gorgeous antique seven column Kesa, a buddhist priest\'s robe in silk brocade. Lots of flowers on a mauve background, with the back lined in blue silk. This is lovely.

It measures approx 43 x 76 inches (approx 109 x 193 cm). Last four photos are better for color, and were taken in bright afternoon light. The rest of the photos were taken in early evening light, and though they show the pattern nicely, the color looks washed out.

On the blue silk backing is a faded rectangular area that strongly suggests this was folded with the underside facing out, and stored a long time. So the front was protected from light for at least some of its existence, and certainly the color of the brocade still seems rich. Photos are close, though not exact.

Condition is very good! A few stains and discolorations on top (see 7th & 8th photos), areas of fading on the underside, and a tear on the underside, which comes through to the top a little bit. I also note small holes at each corner - probably this was displayed on a wall.
