Antique Japanese Samurai Sword Wakizashi in Shirasaya. The blade measures approximately 14.5 inches from the habaki notch on the top of the blade to the tip, andapproximately19 inches in total. Measurements areapproximatebut not far off.On one side of this blade there is ahorimono and on the other a kanji, both are carved deep into the metal. The blade I am sure has been polished a number of times since it was made. The hamon is diffuse but can be seen, and it turns around at the point on both sides. There are some slight scuffs and fine scratches on the blade but they are minimal. The tang is unsigned.There are no fatal flaws.The habaki was obviously made for the blade as it's an excellent fit.
