She’s a beauty, in a much-desired size 4. All original, very clean body, fingers and hands look wonderful. Pale bisque, paperweight eyes, lovely coloring. Faint firing mark 1/4” from hair line on forehead. No damage to head~ no cracks or chips. Pierced ears with inserted wire loops. Wig looks to be original, but is in very good condition.

I constructed the dress from vintage silk faille fabric, using an antique pattern. It consists of a lined jacket bodice, skirt, and overskirt (polonaise), tipped in oyster white silk shantung, with vintage French silk trim, and antique white lace buttons. An antique silver stud ornaments the collar. Closes with tiny hooks and buttonhole stitched loops. I employed sewing methods common in the 1870’s. Much of the ensemble is hand sewn.
