A superb original medal, made to celebrate the recovery from illness of King George 3rd. Plain on the reverse, and with enamel on the front . White background with red guilloche enamel around the edge. Set with gold inscription - tiny piece of gold missing at the bottom after MART - otherwise all in excellent condition. Hanging loop at the top. It comes in the original box, velvet lined and with gold clips to keep shut. Size of medal 1.4 inches (35mms). Weight of medal 10 grams. Dated 1789. (49924goxx)
