Antique Knife Box, Late 17th Century- Early 18th Century :

This is a late Georgian antique knife box, 1780-1820. The box is made out of walnut, later version were made out ofmahogany, with a sloping lid and a curved front. It has beentransformed into a mailing or paper box. The box has the originalfinish and shows all the normal signs of age: wood shrinking, closuregaps, missing veneer, as can be seen in the attached photos.
