Description:OK...here it is. The plane that every collector would love to have. The Stanley No. 1 plane.The iron and cap iron do have some light pitting. It\'s marked \"L. Bailey\'s Patent Dec 24, 1867\" in two places (shown).The sole has some very light pitting.The base\'s frog receiver is also in the shape of the letter \"H\" proving it\'s pre-1872.The lever cap is not marked or recessed.The rosewood knob have a few small nicks but no major scratches or cracks. The rosewood handle does have one small chip out of the top of it (shown)The solid brass nut is not marked.All parts move freely.Check out the pictures for condition. It\'s considered part of the description.
