Antique Lacy Flint Glass Gothic Arch Variant Covered Sugar Bowl, c. 1850-70. This sugar bowl is a wonderful early American pattern glass example. The bowl has eight panels in it\'s octagonal shape. Different than with the Sandwich glass example this sugar bowl has just two different \"Gothic Arch\" designs that alternate in each of the panels. There is a shape to the foot, instead of the round foot in the Sandwich glass version. A covered sugar bowl similar to this is listed in \"A Guide To Sandwich Glass Pressed Tableware\" by Barlow and Kaiser, #1084 where a clear glass example booked for $235 back in 1993. This is a part of a lot of over 100 pieces of Sandwich Glass that I recently purchased and I am offering here on .  I am very happy to combines shipping to save you some money.

DIMENSIONS:  The octagonal shaped sugar bowl is 5 1/8\" H. (covered),  3 5/8\" H.(uncovered)  x 5\" Dia. at the octagonal top.

CONDITION:  The condition is very good with minor chipping and nicks to the rim of the lid.  Also minimal roughness to the base.  There are also bubbles, bits of sand, straw marks and striations in the glass, typical of this early type of glassware.
