Antique Late Victorian Edwardian Necklace Gold Platinum Peridot Diamonds (#5770):

Antique pendant necklace in original fitted box. Diamonds and peridot, platinum and 18k yellow gold. Made in England circa 1900 - late Victorian to Edwardian era. Terry & Company Manchester, England.

Measurements: 0.50ct diamonds Diamonds. 12.0ct Peridot. Weighs 7.2 grams. Length from end to end of chain 16.5inches (41.5cm). Drop is approximately 1 1/8 inches (3cm).

Beautifully made, delicate chain of alternating platinum and yellow gold links. Platinum links are elongated rectangles and gold links are round. At the neckline, they join with either side of diamond wings that scroll down to a large rectangular peridot, colette-set in gold with canted corners and a diamond at each cardinal point. Joined by links and a diamond to a kite-shaped peridot, similarly set to the one above, in gold with tooth-edged colette mount. Colors of peridot are well matched sunshine filled green that sparkles and recedes into shadow with every movement of wearer and light. Workmanship is excellent, as is typical of this period.

Comes in it\'s original, fitted leather box with silk and velvet lining.

We found no marks on the necklace but the box is marked Diamond Merchants Terry & Compy (or is it Jerry?) Corner of Cross and King St Manchester.

Condition: good with negligible wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures for details.
