Antique Leaded Stained Glass Window Section:
Antique Leaded Stained Glass Window Section. This sale is for an antique small leaded stained glass window section made sometime in the late 1800's. This window is one of a group of small windows, that I removed from a church in 1979 or 1980. They each went into individual openings to form a fairly intricate border that surrounded a large center scene window. There were three different scene windows in the church each with a similar surrounding border. Unfortunately one of the three was nearly totally destroyed. I salvaged what I could to use for repair glass on the other two and sold the small panel that were good as hangings. I didn't realize that I had any sections left until I stumbled on this section last week. The window is all the original glass but I did have to relead a small part of it and put the borders back on. The window is 13-1/2" wideby 14-5/8" tall. Other than fixing the borders, I cleaned it, regrouted it and put new zinc on the edges. It's an interesting little asymmetrical pattern with great colors, two white opalescent roundels, a small amber roundel and a nice mix of textures. Overall a very nice small example of classic late 1800's stained glass. I will put copper hangers on it for no extra charge if you win this sale and want them. Shipping and wood crating will be $25.00. The window will ship via FedEx.Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
