Antique Signed Color Lithograph Proof. Circa 1840 - 1854. Signed by the Artist George Cattermole. Engraved by J.D. Harding in Edinburgh, Scotland. \"Dowie\'s Tavern, Libberton\'s Wynd\". Cattermole was largely employed by publishers, illustrating the Waverley Novels, etc. He was a friend of Charles Dickens, and collaborated on illustrations for The Old Curiosity Shop and Barnaby Rudge. Frame has damage at lower left corner and side (framed in Scotland in 1988).

This print may have been used in a copy of Adam Smiths\' \"Wealth of Nations\"

Lithograph is 7\"X 10.5\" on 9\" X 12\" paper. Matted frame is 15.75\" X 19\". This rare signed proof should be reframed. I have left it in its current frame to show providence.
