For sale is this wonderful antique compote!
It is comprised of three separate pieces that are all each beautiful by themselves, and then when combined make the most magnificent compote that I have ever seen! The glass is an iridescent green satin that I believe to be Loetz glass, and the base is made of some metal with onyx connecting all three pieces.
The bowl is the most beautiful thing when touched by the sunlight and has a very nice shine to it which is accented by the wavy rim and smooth bottom. The bowl is in overall great shape with no nicks, chips, or cracks. I believe it to be the aurene style glass, which was manufactured by Tiffany, Stueben, and Loetz.The base is metal with intricate scroll work and then connects to the onyx stem. The onyx stem does however have a crack that is on the exterior part. The crack is entirely superficial, and the base is in good condition but must be treated delicately.
Overall, this will serve to provide a jaw dropping show piece that is sure to impress even the finest collectors!
