A gorgeous and large, 19th to very early 20th century tall boy chest. French, Louis XV style with spectacular crotch mahogany veneer and an abundance of large, ormolu bronze mounts and delicate ormolu trim. Seven drawers with large and ornate pulls. Black and white custom fitted marble top that rests freely on the chest. This is a striking piece. It is is good, ORIGINAL, antique condition with some evidence of age and use. There are a couple of sections of the delicate bronze trim that have pulled away from the chest but there are no missing pieces. There is one drawer spacer that is loose and one drawer that doesn\'t have its drawer stop. There are some chips to the veneer in a few areas. None of these issues are distracting and all call he resolved. As it is, is it quite beautiful. It 8s quite strudy.It measures 62\" tall, 36\" wide and 21.5\" front to back. It is heavy.
